The Devil's Schemes

It is cruelly heartbreaking when I have to cut off all my emotional naggings and force myself to face the facts - truths that can't and won't lie to me.

God created women to be more emotional, and men to be more logical (well, that is the case for the majority anyway), and the Devil's been around quite long to realise this crucial point.

I've been having a few struggles which really surprise me recently..like, how can I feel strongly FOR something, but when I review all the facts, the experiences and contemplate the future, everything's telling me that I should be AGAINST it..but somehow, my emotions are so strong sometimes, that I can just 'feel' that this is right.

The Devil's been having a whale of a time trying to coax my emotions out of the tight reins that I've imposed upon them..and they are really struggling to get out and control my actions again..but this time, I would really like to say that I'm more prepared :)

Thank God for supportive friends who's been covering me with their prayers, and logical friends like Mr Lee and Key who have been hammering me with logical theories and questioning all the things that I feel 'right' about, helping me see that I have absolutely no stand to base my right upon..

If it sounds confusing, don't bother deciphering haha.

Trust, suddenly seems so much harder than before.

Self Control

I've been really happy since coming back from camp..and poor wenjun, who had no choice but to share my happyness since we work together.

Me: (shocked) really meh! I told you already? I dun rmb! Are you sure you r not taking advantage of my short term memory?!

Church Camp

church camp was great, very impactful..and I reached my camp objectives..rather, God met my camp objectives, and he met one of them in a very very obvious way..

i wana go gather my thoughts now and jot down everything that has happened..somehow i feel very happy..

Manchester United secures record £80m shirt sponsorship deal with Aon

(London) Manchester United announced a four-year shirt sponsorship agreement with Chicago-based insurance broker Aon Corp on Wednesday in what may be the biggest deal of its kind.

An Aon logo will adorn the United players' red shirts for four years starting with the 2010-11 season, replacing that of American insurer AIG.

The Premier League champions did not announce financial terms but British newspapers reported that the deal was worth £80 million (S$189 million) over the four years.

That is about 40 per cent more than AIG was paying and 17 per cent more than Bayern Munich's shirt sponsorship with mobile phone provider T-Home.

'Today's announcement clearly strengthens our position as one of the biggest clubs in world football,' United chief executive David Gill said.

On a conference call with media, Aon chief executive Greg Case would not comment on terms of the deal.

The most dominant English team of the past 16 years, United drew level with Liverpool last month on a record 18 league championship titles.

United has won the title 11 of the 17 seasons since the lucrative Premier League was founded in 1992 as well as five FA Cups, three League Cups and the Club World Cup.

The northwest England club, which has also won the elite Champions League twice in the past decade, is valued at US$1.8 billion by Forbes Magazine.

It has huge debts following Malcolm Glazer's leveraged buyout in 2005, but sponsors are still attracted by a brand with fans across the world.

AIG received a bailout from the US government in September and said four months later that it would not renew its four-year sponsorship with United when it expires at the end of next season.

United will therefore play with AIG on its shirts until May 2010.

When dreams seem better

Slept earlier last night to compensate for my lack of sleep for the past week.

I dreamt that we were having some sort of church conference..and there was a speaker on the stage..but more imptly, I was sitting in between two very special people..and for the first time in a very long time, I felt genuinely happy and comfortable :)

And then I woke up. And I thought, God has been so kind to me..He even let me enjoy my sleeping time.

I want to spend forever with these two special people.
