A little good old chilling out

Am with dewen junyao and jesline at orchard central..they are studying for their exams tml while im slacking away and enjoying a little break from the hectic week that ive had so far..

combined service's tml and that's when we can finally act..i really like working with this current team..ive never really talked to them before this drama but, we've had loads of fun and laughter while rehearsing..and this time, i can really see every single person putting in A HELL load of effort to bring out their individual characters..everyone's been pretty tired out, but, serving God is all just so worth it..

just had this random thought yesterday - if we truly want to grow us, then we shouldnt shut out any opportunities in which god can use to mould us.

like, lets say you dun go to work, stay at home the whole day, want to only hang out with church ppl, dun read secular articles or watch any secular movies but only spiritual ones..den, its like shutting out all avenues for god to grow you!

for example: you only grow in patience when you are thrown into situations that test ur patience - like when your client at work gives you some shitty piece of work to do and you have to keep repeating why its not going to work..

if you just stick around church ppl in order to be 'safe', den i guess you'll forever be stuck in wherever you are now..haha..

god didnt tell us to stay away from the world..he wants us to be in the world to influence the world but not be part of it..
