the honey badger

i love animal planet, i love watching documentries on animals. somehow the lives of animals seem so much easier than that of a human..animals are very simple, becos they only have one thought in their minds.

survival.

survive and make sure that ur species survive. so whether they are sourcing for food or water, digging for shelter, protecting their young, fending off predators or migrating to greener pastures, their main aim is to survive..

a classic example of such an animal is the honey badger of the kalahari.

if i have to use one work to describe them, this would be it: single-mindedness.

honey badgers spend their days sourcing for food in the most impossible places..their thick skin can withstand almost 100 stings from the most vicious of bees - african honey bees - just so to get to the larvae hidden deep within the hives..they paw thru the nettle bush to get to that mouse nest situated below..they strip barks off trees to get to lizards nestled between the ridges..they dig a new burrow every night so that predators cannot get to their young..and they do it with fervour, and great speed becos they know that night is coming, they need to feed their young, they need to survive..and so they hunt, and hunt, and hunt.

i wonder, if i have the single-mindedness of a honey badger for the word of god..how would my relationship with Him be like? if i seek with great fervour and intensity, knowing that the end is coming the end is coming..how would i be?

i had my heart-to-heart session with NFBFF today, and i figured i was cruising, and i had was directionless..i was restless, and im putting my energy into the wrong things..

will someone point the direction for me?
